Matteo Myderwyk & Thom Timmers
After a busy festival season Matteo Myderwyk is back at Intro this season!
Young pianist Matteo Myderwyk (1990) released his first solo album on the 26th of May of this year. Eleven cool piano pieces with the duration, melody and harmony of a pop song, the improvisational aspects from jazz, the repetitiveness of dance and all of this performed peacefully with the technique of a classically trained pianist.
Matteo Myderwyk never stops. His music is constantly evolving and his live shows are varied.
At the moment he’s working hard on a sequel to “To move” which will be released in the beginning of 2018. Before he enters the recording studio though, he will come to Intro on the 7th of November to give a preview of the new material.
Apart from this try-out with new material Matteo will visit Intro a second time this November to show us what he is capable of using analogue synthesizers.
Together with Thom Timmers he forms a duo called ‘Gigue’. A remarkable collaboration between a classically trained piano player and a “techno guy”. “I am classical, he is techno. Together we make music.”, is what Matteo had to say about it…
Come and experience it, at Intro!
