The Fluid Orchestra – Lit Scenes
With his fresh relaxed style, composer Jesse Passenier walks the tightrope between classical- and jazz music
This year during November music he will launch his newest project: The Fluid Orchestra, a production by Intro Maastricht. Using compositions for string quartet as well as compositions for octet, Passenier tells personal stories about nature and humanity contained within it. The ensembles will perform his brand new suite “Lit Scenes” The suite consists out of two separate compositions.
His stringquartet No.1 will be performed by the renowned Dudok quartet, part of The Fluid Orchestra. In this quartet one can find influences from Ligeti and Ravel, but also influences out of Bigband tradition.
In the second part of the suite the Dudok quartet will be accompanied by four musicians, a.o. double bass and wind synthesiser (EWI).
