In June saxophonist Tom Sanderman will play his final exam to graduate his masters study at the conservatory of Tilburg…
For this final exam concert he asked composers Nicoline Soeter and Remy Alexander to write a new piece for his instrument.
Although these compositions will have their official premiere in June, Tom will play them the 16th of May at Intro in Situ as a try-out.
Nicoline Soeter wrote ‘Fading’, a very vulnerable composition for solo tenor saxophone based around Alzheimer’s disease, and Remy Alexander wrote ‘Drifting’, a duet for soprano and soprano saxophone.
Especially for this concert Tom invites soprano singer Rianne Wilbers to share the stage with him.
