Intro in Situ is part of Maastricht and Maastricht is part of Intro in Situ – already 40 years on October 6! To commemorate this ruby anniversary year, Intro will present special projects in 2024. We go into the street, into the field, and along the Maas. We give workshops and celebrate National Composer Day on Saturday, June 15.
On October 6 at 4 p.m. it will be exactly forty years since the first Intro concert of the Gijsbrecht van Aemstel Quartet took place. We will celebrate this during our anniversary weekend of October 5 and 6.
And we certainly don't celebrate this special year alone. Together with visitors, composers, cabaret artists, musicians and artists, we experiment, develop and change.
Intro in Situ has come a long way since the first concert. Intro could be found at many locations in Maastricht, where it has been supported by you through thick and thin; from enthusiastic audiences to innovative sound artists, you have made our existence possible. It is therefore not self-evident that a workshop and stage for new music and sound art will continue to exist for 40 years! To achieve this, the batons must be passed on and people must stand up for the cause. That is why this anniversary must be celebrated extra well!
